Mental Health is Hard to Control in a Fast-Paced World.
The world used to be a slower place. Mental health was easier to control. Sunday afternoons were marked by relaxation, family and reflecting. It was easier then to escape life's frustrations and anxieties.
As the world gets busier, our ability to calm ourselves and balance our mental state becomes challenged. In order to get "down" time, it almost requires scheduling into the day and even then only happens if nothing more major happens to take that alloted time.
Here you'll find information which helps explain mental illnesses and conditions along with ideas to help bring them under control. Statistics show 7 - 10 Americans with mental illnesses do not get treatment. Either they do not seek treatment or are not diagnosed properly.
Mental disorders account for 1/4 of the world's disability. More people die by suicide than homicide. The homeless rate continues to grown but the little known fact is that 1/3 of homeless individuals suffer from untreated mental illness.

Individuals whom make it a habit to relax, get extra sleep and slow down are the ones more prone to mental stability. They have been described as being able to relate well to others, and are well-adjusted to society. They feel good about themselves and what they contribute to society.
Mental illness adversely affects the capacity for healthy relationships and families, functioning in general, economic productivity, physical health and overall quality of life.
