What is PMS?

Wild Yam is a proven relaxant and antispasmodic. It relaxes muscular fibers, soothes nerves and gives relief from pain.


The following is a tonic which can be made:


1 oz Wild Yam
1 oz Squaw Vine
1 oz False Unicorn
1/2 oz Cramp Bark

Simmer for 20 mins in 1Qt of water, strain and sweeten to taste. Drink 2 Fluid oz every 3 to 4 hours.


The following should be taken every 12 hours for up to 3 days starting 24 hours before PMS is due:


-Symptoms worse in AM, painful breasts use Lachesis 30c*



-Tiredness and lack of energy. Clumsiness, cold sweats, swollen and painful breasts, cravings for eggs and sweets use Calcarea 30c*


-Feeling irritable, cold, constipated, urinating frequently, craving sweet or fatty foods use Nux 30c*


-Feeling irritated, tense, exhausted especially if the woman is overweight, symptoms worse around 3AM use KaliCarb 30c*


-Suddenly becoming upset (bursting into tears), feeling ill, breasts painful and periods are irregular use Pulsatilla*


-Feeling pessimistic, irritable and overly sensitive, colicky type of pains in the lower abdomen, a frequent urge to urinate or symptoms of cystitis use Causticum 30c*


-Bad-tempered and depressed. craving sweets use Lycopodium 30C *


-Water retention, swollen breasts, feeling sad and irritable use Natrum Mur. 30c *
