When searching for diaper wipes, I always wanted a natural type of wipe but was concerned with diaper RASH. A wipe had to be strong enough to actually wipe without breaking, keep the rash away, yet be gentle enough that it can be used on any part of the body.
The result is an easy recipe which contains inexpensive ingredients.
My two girls NEVER had a diaper rash and I always used these wipes for dirty hands and mouths too!
Ingredients
1 Roll BOUNTY papertowels (these are the best!)
2-1/4 Cups Warm Water
1 Tablespoon Baby Oil
2 Tablespoons Baby Soap
3 Drops Tea Tree Oil
Directions
Cut the paper towel roll in half so you have two smaller rolls. Each roll will be a container of wipes.
In a container large enough to hold the paper towel roll, mix the water, oil, soap and tea tree oil.
Place 1 roll of paper towels into the water so that you see the cardboard roll in the middle.
Let the water soak into the roll, then make sure the lid is on tight and flip it over so all of the paper towel roll is fully saturated (usually an hour).
Once saturated, remove the cardboard roll from the center which is easy to do since it's wet. Pull the wipes from the CENTER where the cardboard roll was.
These wipes keep for a very long time as long as the lid stays on the container tightly.
